Inserting pauses into phone numbers

Posted by onlydarksets on July 19, 2008

If you put a comma in a phone number, it acts as a pause.  This is handy for things like entering voicemail codes, etc., as the pause starts once the call connects.

However, Grumpy has uncovered an apparent bug in this feature.  The gist is that, the dialer only properly interprets the pause command if you dial the number through the phone app.  If you dial the number by going directly to the contacts, it doesn’t work.
